WLSC is honoured to host such a great number of events for the community and holiday makers during the summer.
CAPE FAMILY FESTIVAL
The Cape Family Festival is a WLSC initiative as part of our overall community engagement and promotion of lifesaving to the community. The festival is also a celebration of Cape Paterson’s rich local culture, environment, music, diverse food, and fun in the sun for the whole family.
FOOD STALLS: The Bass Coast Area is fastly establishing a reputation as producers of tasty produce. The Cape Family Festival aims to offer locals and visitors a variety of products that people can either take home or have on the day.
MARKET STALLS: The aim is to attract quality local and regional stalls that promote local and handmade wares and products including those that promote healthy lifestyles.
LIVE MUSIC: This festival will continue to provide an opportunity for local artists to come together in a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere. The event is one of the few in the area that showcases local acts. From established bands and musicians to first timers, it's a chance for the community and visitors to hear what's out there.
BEACH AND CHILDREN ACTIVITIES: With an emphasis on enjoying the natural environment, traditional beach activities are a key component for kids at the Cape Family Festival. Our lifesavers from WLSC will be supervising the beach. Other activities for children, such as canvas paintings and face painting will ensure the children are well entertained and have a fantastic time. Beach activities will also include learning to snorkel and scuba dive.

OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHTS
WLSC was fortunate to secure the purchase of a portable outdoor movie screen where many gather on a Friday night in the park between our club hall and patrol tower. Screenings occur during the summer months once the summer sun has set and a number of films are shown throughout the season.
At just $5 a person (or $15 for a family), this is an ideal family fun event.
Non-ideal weather conditions may result in the cancellation or postponement of our movie nights so please check out our Facebook page for updates.

HOY
Think about HOY as a BINGO like game but to win a player needs to match all of their playing cards to the cards the dealer turns over.
